2018 C2E2 EXCLUSIVE: Producer Jennifer Tisdale Talks DAPHNE & VELMA

Whenever one revisits a well known property (such as Scooby Doo, for example) there is always the concern that one might not do the property justice. Add to that the tricky proposition of doing a prequel following the origins of some of the beloved characters in that universe and you potentially find yourself in a deeper hole of not doing the iteration successfully. Despite these perceived challenges, the team both in front of and behind the camera are game to meet them with the newest Scooby Doo adventure, DAPHNE & VELMA.

Set before the eventual formation of the Scooby Gang that many folks know and love, this prequel follows the origins of two of its iconic members, Daphne & Velma. During a press junket at this year's C2E2, I spoke with producer, Jennifer Tisdale, about the new film. As someone who has made much of her name as producer of more mature fare, I asked Jennifer if her approach with this family-friendly property was any different than her approach with the more adult-geared projects she's done in the past.
