Female Lead Joining Cast for MORBIUS: THE LIVING VAMPIRE Feature Film

As mentioned before, Sony is keen to continue the momentum they've established thus far with VENOM and SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE, so plans trucking forward to get other properties up and going. First up, in their planned slate of "Spider-Man universe" films will be MORBIUS; THE LIVING VAMPIRE.

Keeping in line with the angle tackled in the VENOM film, this feature will have the title character take on an anti-hero slant instead of the earnest, upstanding individual normally seen in superheroes. Though it has already established that Academy-Award winning actor Jared Leto would be taking on the title character, not much was known about the characters that would surround him in the film. however, this may no longer be the case as Deadline is reporting that actress, Adria Arjona, has signed to portray the character of Martine Bancroft in the superhero flick.

For those unfamiliar, Bancroft is the fiancee of Morbius and (as seen above) at one point becomes a vampire in her own right. So, are you excited to see this character realized on the big screen? Let me know in the comments...
